OUr history

The people of the Fairview community met on September 17, 1938 to discuss the organization of a Baptist church. At this meeting, a committee was elected to locate a site on which to build the church. A charter was then drawn up on October 1, 1938, and there were thirteen charter members. The church was named Fairview Baptist Church and was located on Snow Hill Road in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

The original church building burned on May 24, 1942. Members met the next day for the purpose of formulating plans for a new church building. In July 1942, it was decided to rebuild at the old site. The first service was held in the new church building on September 13, 1942.
